DoToho! Mentor

Mentoring is a professional relationship between two people in which the mentor imparts his experience, knowledge and opinions to the mentee. A mentor is therefore a person with many years of experience in managing a company or a larger team, ideally with experience in several different fields or industries and with a wide network of contacts.

The main task of DoToho! mentoring is to find opportunities for innovation and improvement of the company participating in the program, in mutual dialogue.

DoToho! Expert

An expert is an experienced professional in a specific area needed to successfully run a business.

In DoToho!, experts provide on-demand pro bono individual consultations to small and medium-sized companies that are registered in the program.

The Expert provides the first consultation hour to the Entrepreneur free of charge, the amount of remuneration for further consultation services is subject to mutual agreement.

Even one hour of consultation in the area of your know-how can have a real impact on the business of a small or medium-sized company.

What exactly do I get when I sign up as an entrepreneur?

  • Mentor. Individual connection with a business mentor tailored to your needs and current situation. Together, you can discuss specific problems or opportunities for your business, set goals, and together make changes that move your business forward.

  • Consultation with experts. As part of our program, you can access a database of quality industry experts and ask them for a pro bono consultation on a specific problem you are solving. It is at the expert's discretion how many hours they donate to the program for free.

  • Shadowing. Learn how another business owner's processes work. Directly at their company and with the opportunity to ask questions to which you do not have a clear answer. Our community manager Marek will find you a connection tailored to your needs.

  • Links to relevant contacts. Expand your network. We will connect you with 500+ successful Czech entrepreneurs, managers and experts who will provide you with the products or services you need. Just contact the community manager Marek.

  • Workshops. Every week we hold practical workshops for small and medium-sized businesses - online and live at the Opero business hub in Prague. They cover different aspects of business - marketing, sales, people management, and time management.

  • Networking. We create a community of entrepreneurs who want to develop and share their experiences. Every month we organize networking meetings where you can gain valuable business contacts.

  • Digital library. We take recordings of the workshops and publish them in the Library. This way, you can access the information retrospectively, or if you don't have time to attend at the time of the workshop.

You are a furniture manufacturing company. So far, you have made do with the Czech market and physical sales supported by a showroom presentation. Through analysis with a mentor you come to the conclusion that you should also open an e-shop and expand to Slovakia. So you will approach one expert for e-commerce and another for expansion abroad. You will also come to the conclusion that you should strengthen your digital marketing. You will attend a specialized workshop on this topic. The format of master-mind meetings will also be a good platform for you to share your experience with other business owners, either from the same industry or cross-industry.

What is the difference between a mentor and an expert?

A mentor acts as a partner for sharing problems and ideas–a guide along the way. He or she provides a more comprehensive picture of the situation, a view outside the established tracks unencumbered by the day-to-day operations of the company. A mentor asks good questions and provides feedback.

The expert in the program provides pro bono individual consultations within his/her expertise (e.g. digital marketing, online sales, IT security, etc.) upon request of the program participant. One pro bono consultation is provided for a specific company, any further cooperation is by individual agreement.
